On the evening of December 5, the Seminole High School choir group held their first concert of the year — the winter concert! The event began at 7 PM, but First Take Choir was in the lobby of the auditorium performing carols for the audience in the lobby by six. Other choirs were preparing for the actual show in the choir room, where they all did a run through of their songs with the choir director, Jamie Poss.
Every performer was dressed in concert black, a clean and professional look. The singers were all ecstatic about taking to the stage, and it was easy to see as much.
When the show started, they began with every choir group together, performing Shout For Joy, a Candlelight Processional written by Disney.
From there, the choir groups each took to the stage one by one, performing their own short list of songs, Gospel Choir and Destiny Show Choir being a particular crowd favorite.
As the concert came to a close, First Take came upon the stage once more, performing a series of short songs before the entire choir assembled for one last performance of Silent Night, a slow and calming song which became the perfect end to a wonderful performance. The choir department worked hard for their concert, and we applaud them for an amazing show!
