December has begun and the Seminole Times would like to introduce our very new monthly spotlight edition, our teachers! Each month, a teacher from Seminole High School (SHS) will be chosen and given some much deserved recognition for all their hardworking. With this new tradition, it only makes sense to start with the teacher who makes our school’s newspaper function, Mrs. Casale!
Judith Casale started teaching at SHS in 2019 and has not stopped since. Mrs. Casale is a busy teacher, teaching English 4, Journalism 1, and Newspaper. From her dedication in preparing her seniors for life after high school to educating her Journalism classes on how to be a reporter, Mrs. Casale’s number one priority is always the success of her students.
Ushanda Johnson, another English teacher at SHS, discusses the impact Mrs. Casale has on our school: “Mrs. Casale and I came to SHS the same year and became immediate friends. She is very knowledgeable of the subject matter and an extreme asset to our teacher team. Her creativity and her willingness to share her expertise with not only students but also her peers is a HUGE BLESSING!”
Ms. Johnson ends with kind words for Mrs. Casale stating: “THANK YOU!!!! I know you don’t like public accolades, but you are so deserving of a great ROUND of APPLAUSE for all you are and all you do for the students and ME. THANK YOU for being YOU!!!!”
Addison Frisch, a senior on staff, continues with words of gratitude for her: “As someone who has known Mrs. Casale for most of my high school career, I can say without a doubt that she has inspired me immensely. Because of her, I was able to discover my passion for writing and journalism, which is something I plan on taking with me when I go to college. I truly appreciate all she has done for me over the years.”
Mrs. Casale, I think I speak for all of the Seminole Times when I say thank you for all you do for us. I never could have imagined the impact newspaper would have on my high school career and that success is all due to your preservation and belief in us. You push us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best reporters we can be. You never settle for less than perfection and empower your students to do no less than amazing things. Thank you for all that you do and all that you continue to do.
