The Fighting Seminoles offered up an exhilarating action packed game last night against the Lake Brantley Patriots. With a final score of 61-8, the Noles are looking forward to continuing their winning streak.
Michael Clayton II kicked off the quarter by completing a 6-yard pass to David Parks for a passing touchdown, with the extra point made by Liam Allen. A fumble recovery is then made by Jorden Pittman, awarding the Seminoles the ball. Shortly after, Khamani Robinson accomplished a 10-yard rushing touchdown, which lets the fans know how this game is going to go. Lake Brantley has possession, then punting to the Noles. The Seminoles were confident in their abilities to secure another touchdown, and they did. Clayton II made a pass to Parks, for a passing touchdown to close out the first quarter with a score of 20-0.
As the second quarter began, the Noles blocked a punt, returned for a touchdown. At this point, the score read 26-0, and Lake Brantley tried to strategize on how they could possibly make a comeback here. Seminole kicks off to the Patriots, leading to a third down for Lake Brantley with nine minutes left in the quarter. The Patriots punted to the Noles, and Clayton racked up another touchdown with a 25-yard pass, with the extra point from Allen. The Noles let it be known that they still had more left in them, with yet another rushing touchdown. Seminole gets an interception, which preceded another touchdown from Clayton and an extra point from Allen.
Despite this being an away game, the student section still showed up and did not disappoint. They showcased their school spirit by dressing up in aprons, and held spatulas and other cooking items.
Lake Brantley has possession to start off the third quarter. The Noles then blocked a punt, with a 30-yard return for a touchdown. The scorekeepers then decided to run the clock in the second half, as the score read 54-0.
The Patriots made their first touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter, with a two point conversion. Lake Brantley kicked off to Seminole, which led to a Seminole first down. A 5-yard pass was made for a touchdown, stringing along the extra point from Allen to close out this game.
The Seminoles played an astounding game last night against the Patriots, showcasing skills from every player on the field. The Noles will go on to play Titusville on their own field next week for the homecoming game. Let’s hope they can pull off another win!
