Last night the Fighting Seminoles rivaled the University Titans in the second round of this playoff season. This game was a close call between the two, and could be described as thrilling and action packed. With a final score of 24-20, the Seminoles came out on top.
The Noles kicked off the game to University, where they were almost immediately on fourth down. They then punted to Seminole, which led to a first down and continued on to a third down. The first quarter continued on this way until the end, with both teams securing first, third, and fourth downs.
University came in strong in the second quarter with a long pass that caused a rushing touchdown. They made the extra point, and soon after made yet another touchdown. Seminole fans were on the edge of their seats, waiting for the Noles to pull through. The second quarter ended with a score of 14-0, University.
Seminole decided that it was time to get the game moving, and kicker Liam Allen kicked a 25-yard field goal, putting a score on the board for the Noles. Seminole eventually punted to the Titans, when the Noles had a major interception that led to a rushing touchdown by Michael Clayton II. At this point things were looking bright for the Seminoles.
As the fourth quarter began, there was a turnover on downs. University was on third down, and the Noles managed to intercept a pass and score a touchdown, or a pick 6. They scored the extra point, and this put Seminole in the lead 17-14. The Titans attempted to persevere and make a comeback, with a 25-yard pass completed for a touchdown. The score was 20-17, but this game was tight. The Seminoles finish off the game with a 25-yard rushing touchdown from Khamani Robinson.
