In late March, it was discovered that Germanwings Flight 9525 crashed by a location near the French Alps. Out of the 150 passengers on board, none survived the plane’s abrupt crash.Directly after the accident, numerous search teams checked through the debris left behind by the plane, in order to find the second black box, along with any signs as to why the crash occurred. Bad weather inhibited the use of helicopters to further scope out bodies for recovery.
After the second black box was discovered by a female officer attempting to find clothing samples left behind, detectives confiscated the box and will use it to gain further information on what was said up until the crash.
Until then, the 150 DNA samples are attempting to be matched to those who were on board the plane. DNA is being taken from families of the victims to assure matches, and to put the families at ease over their loved ones’ bodies being found from the wreckage.
Mourning has already begun among many who remember loved ones they have lost. A large memorial site near the closest village to the crash has been constructed for families and mourners to visit.
Investigators are still attempting to conclude a final answer on what occurred inside the plane. Listeners around the world await the final news on the crash.
