The Fighting Seminoles took on the Lake Mary Rams last night on their home field. With students having an extensive break from hurricane Milton, this game provided an opportunity to bring fans together.
Seminole begins the first quarter by kicking off to Lake Mary. The Rams manage a first down, and eventually kick a 39-yard field goal with one minute until quarter two. The Noles close out the quarter with a punt.
The Rams launched into the second quarter with a second down, leading up to a 23-yard field goal. The Seminoles were down six to zero, and attempted to make a comeback with a passing touchdown from Jeysen Williams to David Parks. The extra point by kicker Liam Allen was successful as well. Lake Mary made an effort to get ahead again, with Noah Grubbs completing a passing touchdown, with a failed two point conversion.
Halftime began, and all the participating seniors were recognized for their hard work and contributions to Seminole High School. They walked down the field with a grin on their face as their names were announced over the intercom system.
Lake Mary maintained the lead in the third quarter, with a rushing touchdown plus an extra point. This led the score to read 19-7. The Noles block a punt from the Rams, awarding Seminole the ball on Lake Mary’s 20-yard line. Williams strived to make a recovery for the Noles with a rushing touchdown. The scoreboard displayed a final score of 19-14 Lake Mary to conclude the third quarter.
At this time, fans could potentially make the assumption that this might be a close game. Just one minute into quarter four, Grubbs made a pass for a touchdown. Seminole then had the ball, but not for long. The Rams intercept a Seminole pass, awarding possession of the ball to Lake Mary. Lake Mary punted to the Noles, leading up to a turnover on downs. Lake Mary had the ball at the moment. Following that, the Rams kicked a 32-yard field goal with two minutes left in the quarter, securing their win with a score of 29-14.
