Recapping Winners of College Bowl Games

Football playoff games are just getting ready to kick off.

The Ohio State Buckeyes lifted the championship trophy as they beat the Oregon Ducks 42-20. At half time the Buckeyes led the Ducks 21-10. In the third quarter, Oregon scored ten points to be down by one, until Ohio State scored at the end of the quarter. In the fourth quarter, Oregon was scoreless and Ohio State scored fourteen points. Running back from Ohio State, Ezekiel Elliot, rushed thirty six times, for two hundred and forty six yards, and four touchdowns. All of these are championship records. After Oregon scored on their first drive they only scored one more touchdown. Marcus Mariota, quarterback of the Ducks, threw for three hundred and thirty three yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Quarterback from Ohio State, Cardale Jones, threw for two hundred and forty two yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Buckeyes defense made big plays on third and fourth downs as Oregon converted only two third down plays and no fourth down plays.
The Alabama Crimson Tide fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes 42-35 in the All State Sugar Bowl Semifinal game. After being down 21-6 early in the second quarter the Buckeyes scored twenty eight straight points. In the third quarter, the Buckeyes scored a pair of touchdowns and allowed only one to Alabama. In the fourth quarter, Steve Millar of Ohio State Buckeyes picked off Alabama quarterback, Blake Sims, and returned it forty one yards for a touchdown. In the fourth quarter each team scored a touchdown. As the Tide were driving down the field Sims threw an interception into the end zone to end the game. Cardale Jones, of the Buckeyes threw one touchdown, one interception and two hundred and forty three yards. Ezekiel Elliot of the Buckeyes rushed for two hundred and thirty yards.
The Oregon Ducks demolished the Florida State Seminoles 59-20 in the Rose Bowl. Even though the Seminoles put up over five hundred yards, they only scored twenty points because of their five turnovers. Heisman trophy winner, Marcus Mariota, threw two touchdowns, one interception, and three hundred and thirty eight yards. The Seminoles offense gave away the ball on three fumbles and one interception. Oregon’s running back, Thomas Tyner ran for one hundred and twenty four yards and two touchdowns.
Utah demolishes Colorado State 45-10 in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl. Arizona State beat Duke in the Hyundai Sun Bowl 36-31. South Carolina wins by a field goal over Nebraska in the National University Holiday Bowl 45-42.
Clemson destroyed Oklahoma 40-6 in the Russell Athletic Bowl. Notre Dame upset Louisiana State 31-28 in the fourth quarter of the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl. Georgia killed Louisville 37-14 in the Belk Bowl. TCU destroyed Ole Miss in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl 42-3.
Boise State holds off Arizona for a 38-30 win in the Vizio Fiesta Bowl. Georgia Tech upset Mississippi State 49-34 in the Capital One Orange Bowl. Wisconsin beats Auburn with an overtime field goal in the Outback Bowl 34-31.
Michigan State has an amazing comeback to beat Baylor 42-41 in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. Missouri beats Minnesota in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl 33-17. UCLA holds on against Kansas State in the Valero Alamo Bowl to win 40-35.
