Another Seminole High School sporting event; always a thrill! The Seminole boys JV and Varsity boys soccer teams visited Lyman High School on October, 7th. Both teams played, the JV game started at 5, while the varsity team came on at 7.
The game started off with the Noles taking the lead in the first half, which ended with a score of 3-1 going into halftime. However, Lyman didn’t go down without a fight. They were able to score some more points, but in the end the Noles won with a final score of 3-6. This was an intense yet rewarding game for our JV soccer team.
On the other hand, the varsity game was a bigger challenge with higher stakes. Unfortunately, the score was not the highest it could have been, but it still brought suspense. Starting off in the first half; Lyman had the lead, leaving the score 0-1. However, Seminole did not leave it easy for them, making the score in the first half stay stagnant. The last half brought out the intensity. After showing his determination throughout the game, during the last six minutes, Senior Gio Cipolla was able to score a goal. The crowd was ecstatic and was definitely feeling the Seminole spirit. The game was tied with only six minutes left to play. Unfortunately, neither team was able to score within the time left, so the game ended at a tie of 1-1. Seminole’s standing as of now is 0-1-1: zero games won, one tie, and one loss.
On Monday, November 11th, the boys will take on Lake Mary high school. This will be a game you won’t want to miss. It will for sure make for an interesting rivalry matchup. Tickets are being sold on the ticketing app: Gofan, $5 a student and $10 for an adult.
Be sure to show your school spirit, support the Noles, and cheer them on for their upcoming matches. We hope to see you there!
Go Noles!
