On Saturday afternoon, Nick Fury, CEO of S.H.I.E.L.D. requests Spiderman’s help for a mission to Mephisto’s Realm. Spiderman, being the obliging hero he is, accepts. Only little did he know what the outcome of his task would be.
While in hand to hand combat with the sinister villain, Blackheart, Spiderman became tired and weak. Blackheart seized the opportunity to end Spiderman once and for all.
Luckily, Ghost Rider seeing that Spidey was in great distress, whipped Blackheart around with his chain and delivered a deadly blow to the face.
“I can’t begin to tell you how grateful I was when I heard that Ghost Rider saved Spidey,” says a distraught Mary-Jane Watson after the lugubrious occurrence.
“I have to admit it was funny seeing Spiderman get tossed around a bit,” X-Men member Wolverine comments. “The bub doesn’t take things seriously at times. He kind of had it coming, but I’m glad to see he’s okay.”
Spiderman is currently suffering from two broken arms, three fractured ribs, and an assortment of cuts and bruises.
When Nick Fury was asked to comment, Black Widow simply stated that “He is busy working with Dr. Hank Pym to see that Spiderman recovers smoothly.”
