These days there are a lot of convenient ways to get the things that are wanted by simply going online and getting it. This method is used to get a Florida learners permit in order for a person of at least the age of 15 to start driving with a licensed passenger above the age of 21.
There are few places online that you could go to register yourself in order to take the mandatory D.A.T.A course. This is the minimum 4-hour drug and alcohol course that is needed in order to take the permit test.
Junior Garrett Measures said, “Getting your permit online is a lot easier than at the DMV because there is less pressure.”
For the permit test, it can usually be found on the same website in which registration occurs for the drug and alcohol course. Most of those sites bundle the two together in order to get a better price. To name a few, one could visit idrivesafely, diversed, or maybe stateofflorida.
Now getting to the price, the drug and alcohol course and permit test can be purchased separate or together. Buying them together comes at a cheaper price of about $32 and a processing fee that costs an extra $8.
Sophomore Ali Roberts said, “Make sure to buy the registration together because it’s a little cheaper that way.”
Keep in mind that when taking the drug and alcohol course online, one must take it for a minimum of at least four hours. Each section of the course is timed.
The drug and alcohol test can also be taken at certain locations like at public schools. Seminole High School, for instance, offers the drug and alcohol program to 14 year old looking to gain a permit. It is sometimes more convenient to take the course at home because it can be done when there is time.
Senior Natalia Rivera said, “ Get and look over the Florida Driver’s handbook!”
Picking up a copy of the Florida Driving Handbook is also crucial to passing this exam. A copy of these can be picked up at any of the DMV’s located in Seminole County.
